BIFOLD Co-Director and BIFOLD Fellow named among the world’s most influential researchers
BIFOLD Co-Director Prof. Dr. Klaus-Robert Müller and BIFOLD Fellow Prof. Dr. Wojciech Samek (Fraunhofer HHI) have been named Highly Cited Researchers™ 2025 in the Cross-Field category, recognizing the interdisciplinary impact of their research.
Both researchers are affiliated with Technische Universität Berlin, which has seven scientists on this year’s Highly Cited Researchers™ list. Wojciech Samek has been recognized for the first time and Klaus-Robert Müller has appeared on the list every year since 2019.
This year, Clarivate awarded 7,131 Highly Cited Researcher honors. The list highlights recent research achievements and is based on publications in leading science and social science journals.
The List represents 60 countries and regions, but 86.1% of awards are concentrated in just 10 countries, and 74.6% in the top five countries. The United States leads with 37.4% of awards, followed by Mainland China (19.7%), the United Kingdom (8.0%), and Germany (5.1%).
