Dr. Thanasis Georgiadis is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the DIMA group and BIFOLD. He received his PhD from the University of Ioannina, where his dissertation, titled “Scalable Management of Complex Spatial Data Types,” explored scalable methods for managing high-complexity spatial data types, such as polygons, in modern spatial database systems. His research has been published in leading venues and journals, including SIGMOD, SIGSPATIAL, EDBT, VLDBJ, and TSAS.
