When AI Amplifies Health Bias
The Health AI Forum explores how existing inequalities can be amplified by AI in healthcare – and what responsible health AI requires.
The Health AI Forum: When AI Amplifies Health Bias will take place on October 7, 2026 in Berlin. Organized by the Global Shapers Berlin Hub, the event examines how AI systems in healthcare can inherit or amplify existing social inequalities.
The discussion focuses on biases related to gender, age, race, socioeconomic status, and access to care. Five parallel roundtables will each explore a different dimension of bias in health AI. Participants will then reconvene to share key findings and discuss them together with topic experts.
The forum is designed not only for specialists but also for patients and people with lived experience of healthcare. Its aim is to bring different perspectives together and explore what responsible and equitable AI in healthcare requires. The evening concludes with an open networking session.
