In the BLISS AI Speaker SeriesDavid Watson (King's College London) will speak on “Can Humans Flourish in the Age of AI?” and shed light on the opportunities and limitations of human development in an increasingly AI-driven world. The lecture combines perspectives from machine learning, ethics, and philosophy. Afterwards, BLISS e.V. invites you to exchange ideas over pizza and drinks.

BioDavid is a Lecturer in Artificial Intelligence at King’s College London, where his research spans machine learning, philosophy of science, and computational biology. He received his DPhil from the University of Oxford, focusing on algorithmic fairness and explainability, and was previously a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Statistical Science at University College London, working on causal discovery and inference. He also serves as an Associate Editor at Minds & Machines and contributes as a Data Scientist at Queen Mary University’s Centre for Translational Bioinformatics.
