Compliant Data Processing in Geo-distributed Environments
Providing compliant data processing requires us to follow the restrictions imposed by data protection policies. These policies have a heterogeneous nature depending on the context in which data is processed. In previous publications, we focused on policies restricting data transfer among borders. However, geo-distributed query processing as traditional query processing approaches has only considered absolute policies, which either enable or forbid access to sensitive data. We want to extend this scope by exploring anonymization policies, which allow for partial data access while protecting sensitive data using anonymization techniques.
