The Transfer Week Berlin-Brandenburg 2023 takes place from November 20 to November 24, 2023. This event offers a unique platform for science, companies, and innovators to engage in knowledge exchange and establish collaborations. BIFOLD is one of the partner-institutions of the Transfer Week and BIFOLD co-director Volker Markl participated at the kick-off conference. In his opening remarks he emphasized the significance of Berlin as the startup capital: Berlin is home to numerous spin-offs, and particularly impressive success stories emerging from foundational research. This thriving ecosystem would benefit enormously from the spatial concentration of existing expertise. Shared spaces are melting pots for transfer and innovation, creating visibility and attraction for talents and investors.

Then join our researchers at the online session “Sensorik & KI – von der Grundlagenforschung bis zur Anwendung“ with Dr. Alexander von Lühmann (BIFOLD Research Group Lead) and Dr. Steffen Zeuch (BIFOLD Research Group). The session presents research in Berlin and Brandenburg in the field of sensor technology and AI, looking at the examples of intelligent biomedical sensing and the data management system NebulaStream.

Live - guided tour in the showroom of the Forum Digitale Technologien. BIFOLD will showcase two demos: The first demo focuses on explainable AI and explores the new Concept Relevance Propagation (CRP) method. The second demo  highlights AI in earth observation (EO).
