The topic will be examined from various perspectives, focusing in particular on the experiences and work of the collaborative funding projects from the technology programs of BMWK Department VI B 3 "Development of Digital Technologies".

In four thematic blocks, representatives of selected funding projects will reflect on central aspects of digital sovereignty and trustworthy AI - including the dimensions of reliability, acceptance, transparency and explainability.

The speakers will report and discuss how they deal with the associated challenges in their respective research projects and present solutions. Among other renowned keynote speakers, two BIFOLD fellows, Prof. Dr. Matthias Böhm and Prof. Dr. Slawomir Stanczak will talk about their research. This will be framed by an opening lecture on the political dimension of the topic "Trust in Technology" and a closing panel on the challenges of bringing AI applications to market.
